Solar Generators

Solar generator kits compared by power station capacity, output watts, included panel watts, solar input limit, connectors, battery chemistry and warranty.

What to compare in solar generators

A solar generator is a power station sold with panels, or sized to be paired with them. The spec sheet shows both halves of the pairing.

  • Panel wattage included: Compare the stated watts of the panels in the bundle with the unit's maximum solar input. Mismatches leave capacity unused.
  • Battery capacity: Use the Wh figure as stated on the listing. Two units with the same output rating can hold very different amounts.
  • Continuous and surge output: The AC output and its surge rating appear as separate lines. Heavy tools often depend on the surge figure.
  • Chemistry and cycle count: LiFePO4 listings name a cycle figure. Treat it as the maker's rating rather than a promise.
  • Expansion: Some models accept extra batteries or panels. Check what the listing says it supports.
  • Warranty: Read the stated length and any conditions, since these bundles may cover the station and panels separately.

Judge a bundle as two products: the station and the panels. Each should make sense alone, and the combined listing should state how they connect, including any adapter cables the box includes or leaves out.
